Sound
Sincerely, for us, the sound you get from a plastic membrane is just as deep and sometimes even deeper, than that from any goat-skin drum. The sound is so deep and low that it is good to use for healing and sound massage.
Stable and consistent sound at any temperature
Now you don’t have to worry about the temperature, in contrast to a deer or goatskin drum which is susceptible to changes in temperature. The shamanic vegan drum is more comfortable and practical to keep and play, so enjoy playing it – it will have a good sound anytime and anywhere.
Weight
The vegan hand drum is very light, weighing only 800-1200 grams. (1.8 to 2.6 lbs) It is very comfortable to play for any length of time without getting any pain in the shoulders.
Water-resistant

What's Included in the Set
100% Vegan Instrument
A stick for playing (shaman beater) is included in the set, made from acacia or linden wood. For the soft material, vegan faux fur (synthetic wool) is used.

This is a 100% vegan instrument designed for durability, consistency and ease of use in any environment.
The drum features a lightweight yet strong wooden frame constructed from multiple layers of veneer for added stability. The handle is integrated directly into the rope system, allowing the entire body of the drum to vibrate freely. This design enhances resonance and produces a deeper, fuller sound.
The membrane is made from a specialized synthetic material that delivers excellent tone while remaining highly durable. Unlike traditional animal skins, it is resistant to changes in temperature and humidity.
Water-resistant and reliable in all conditions, this drum can be played outdoors in rain, fog or sunshine. It maintains a stable, consistent sound wherever you play without the fluctuations commonly experienced with deer or goatskin drums.
How to Tune Your Vegan Hand Drum
These drums feature a thoughtfully designed tuning system that is both precise and easy to use. You can adjust the pitch to make the sound higher or lower, dialing it in to the exact note you want.
Tuning Your Drum
On the back of the drum, you’ll find a series of screw bolts that control the tension of the membrane and hold it in place. These can be adjusted using a 3 mm hex key.
The process is simple. Turn one bolt slightly, about a quarter turn, then move to the next. Continue in a full circle until all bolts have been adjusted evenly.
For best results, repeat this process while listening carefully, or follow along with the video, until you reach the sound you’re looking for.
Turning the bolts clockwise increases tension and raises the pitch. Turning them counterclockwise decreases tension, lowering the pitch and creating a deeper tone.
The tuning process is intuitive and easy to learn. With a bit of practice, you’ll be able to quickly tune your drum to the note you want.

Is it possible to break the membrane?
Increase the tension gradually. Do not apply large adjustments in a single step. Tighten the bolts sequentially, turning each bolt by no more than a quarter to half turn per pass. Repeat this process in cycles until the desired tension is reached. Maintain consistent tension across all screws to ensure even response.
Testing has shown that the membrane can withstand very high tension without failure. Under controlled conditions, maximum tension did not result in damage. However, excessive tension is not recommended in normal use. For best performance, maintain a balanced, moderate tension and avoid tuning the membrane higher than necessary.

If for some reason you are not happy, please call us within 30 days.
If, within the 30 days, you want to exchange an item we will give you full credit towards other products. However, If you wish to do a full return, there is a 15% restocking fee. The item must be returned in the same condition you purchased it.
Shipping is at your expense. It must arrive to us in the same condition as when it was shipped out. Once we have received your returned item, and have inspected it, we will issue a a refund minus the restocking fee and any costs that we incurred to ship the instrument to you.
